INDIVIDUAL SOMATIC THERAPY WITH EMDR, IFS & More
My primary role as your somatic therapist is to show you how to feel your feelings rather than avoiding them.
As a child, you received implicit or explicit messages that your feelings were too much. You stuffed them down in order to try to be loved. And stuffing those feelings down is the cause of your anxiety, your depression, your stuckness, your people-pleasing and much more.

Using somatic methods,
I’ll show you how to get back in touch with your emotions. Learning how to feel your feelings authentically is the key to relieving your anxiety and developing a stronger sense of self.
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy teaches you how to feel your feelings (rather than ruminating about them), and how to release emotions that have been stuck in your body.
You can’t solve a problem if you aren’t even aware it exists. Somatic therapy illuminates the unconscious fears and beliefs your body has been carrying.
By engaging the body, somatic therapy helps you break out of a perpetual fight-flight-freeze response, which we so often have after trauma.
Tools and techniques of somatic therapy sessions
We can use numerous tools and techniques to engage your body, feel your feelings and release stuck emotions. Some of the most powerful techniques are…
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
EMDR or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing uses eye movements, tapping, or auditory tones to help your brain process past events that caused your body to get stuck in fight, flight or freeze. I will guide you through the entire process and hold space for you, so that processing can happen in a safe, regulated way.
IFS (internal family systems)
IFS or Internal Family Systems is a proven form of psychotherapy. This tool is based on the idea that we are made up of many parts (our internal family) that have different roles and can cause harm to us when those roles get too extreme.
IFS is designed to help you heal your wounded and protective parts so that you can live in a way that is healthier and more balanced.
Inner Child Therapy
Inner Child Therapy aims to address the psychological wounds you sustained in childhood. We all carry within us a younger version of ourselves—an "inner child"—who may still be in pain from past events. Through therapy, your inner child can release their pain, which can help resolve anxiety, depression, stuckness, people-pleasing, perfectionism and more.
Inner child therapy doesn’t consist of a single approach. We’ll be weaving in different techniques and tools to help guide your inner child to safety.
Attachment Therapy
When we grow up with emotionally unavailable or unpredictable caregivers, we may develop an insecure attachment style. This can result in us living with unsatisfying, unsafe or harmful relationships, or in challenges with finding and maintaining healthy romantic and platonic relationships.
Attachment therapy aims to help you heal your attachment wounds so that you can move from an anxious, avoidant or disorganized attachment style to a secure attachment style. Through this work, you can finally attract and live with the loving, caring relationships you deserve.
